Changes to concert date/start time will be posted here. Concerts are held outdoors @ Homesteads Village shopping center parking lot. Bring your own chairs & picnic. Concert attendees assume all risks associated with Sandia Chill concerts, including but not limited to: o irregular and uneven grounds and paved surfaces, o any/all weather-related conditions and exposure, o potentially slippery conditions. May 24, 6 pm - Memorial Day Blues Festival “Indigenous Blues” CW Ayon - Las Cruces NM native of Cheyenne descent, debuting the Sandia Chill stage with his Delta Blues style. Turquoise Steel - Navajo family band from ABQ, debuting with original energetic blend of blues/rock. Stanlie Kee - Navajo guitarist, returning with his youthful twist on classic blues. Awe-inspiring Navajo guitarist Levi Platero and family blues-rock band, returning to the Sandia Chill stage. Concert beneficiaries - Casa Rosa Food Bank & Placitas Wild June 14, 7 pm - “Veterans Appreciation Concert” CS Rock Show - Featuring Don Curry and his band playing classic rock favorites. Felix y los Gatos - Featuring Felix Peralta; improvising with signature New Mexico “Zydetejana: sound - a mix of blues, Zydeco, Cumbia and swing. Concert beneficiaries - Local NM Folds of Honor July 12, 7 pm - “American Jazz Celebration” Jazz Traveler - debuting with Placitas musicians Chris Livingston on guitar and George Kapalka on keys along with their Albuquerque friends. ABQ Jazz Orchestra - (19 piece) with vocal chanteuse Hillary Smith. Concert beneficiaries - Rebuilding Together Sandoval County August 16, 7 pm - “Soul, Funk and Jazz” Ryan Montano - Featuring Grammy award-winning trumpeter Ryan Montano and friends with vocalists Andrew Cooper and Rebecca Arscott. The title says it all. Concert beneficiaries - Placitas Elementary School September 6, 6 pm - Labor Day Blues Festival Jay Boy Adams with Zenobia and Woody Key - Returning to the Sandia Chill stage with their refreshing and personal “Americana” version of the Blues. If you missed seeing them last year, this is your opportunity to experience what others raved about. Big Suitcase - Santa Fe Blues/Soul/Funk band featuring lead vocalist Myrrinne Fowler, and Tiho Dimitrov on guitar/vocals. Blues/Soul/Funk band very popular in Santa Fe. Tiho has performed as featured guitarist and vocalist at NM Jazz Workshop. The Rudy Boy Experiment - Featuring leader Rudy Boy Jaramillo and band returning to the Sandia Chill stage with their distinctive high-energy Blues, rock and soul that will keep you dancing till the end.
